Questions
Why is my payslip slightly different?
Employers withhold tax using the ATO’s weekly or fortnightly tax tables, which round in their own way. This works out tax for the whole year, so each period is an average. The difference usually evens out when you lodge your tax return.
Is super included?
No. Super your employer pays on top of your salary isn’t part of your take-home pay, so it isn’t shown.
Is this financial or tax advice?
No. It works out estimates from the figures you enter and the published rules shown on the page. It doesn’t consider your circumstances. For a decision, consider talking to a registered tax agent or a licensed financial adviser.
Is what I enter saved or sent anywhere?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us or anyone else.
